The Disneyland Railroad has four stations. They are Main Street, U.S.A. Station, New Orleans Square Station, Mickey’s Toontown Station, and Tomorrowland Station.
The railroad opened with Disneyland on July 17, 1955, and was inspired by Walt Disney’s backyard Carolwood Pacific Railroad. Its 1.2-mile, three-foot-gauge track circles much of the park, making it both a transportation option and a heritage-style attraction.
A common mix-up comes from Disneyland’s former Frontierland Station. That stop was replaced by New Orleans Square Station in 1966, while Mickey’s Toontown Station was added in 1992. The railroad therefore has four current stations, even though its station lineup has changed over time.
The trains generally complete the full loop in about 18 to 20 minutes. The attraction’s five steam locomotives include engines built by Baldwin Locomotive Works and locomotives designed specifically for Disneyland.
