How many sons did Draupadi have?

Draupadi had five sons, collectively known as the Draupadeyas, in the Mahabharata.

Each son was born to one of the five Pandava brothers: Prativindhya to Yudhishthira, Sutasoma to Bhima, Shrutakarma to Arjuna, Shatanika to Nakula, and Shrutasena to Sahadeva. Although Draupadi was married to all five brothers, the epic identifies each child with a particular father.

The five sons fought on the Pandava side during the Kurukshetra War and are described as capable warriors. Their individual roles receive less attention than those of their fathers, Abhimanyu, or Ghatotkacha, which can make their names easy to confuse.

The Draupadeyas met a tragic end after the war. Ashwatthama attacked the sleeping Pandava camp and killed them, mistakenly or deliberately treating the young warriors as part of the victorious Pandava leadership. They should not be confused with the Pandavas themselves, who were their fathers, or with Krishna's son Pradyumna.
