Three shutouts occurred during the 2026 NFL preseason.
The New York Jets beat Pittsburgh 17–0 in Week 2, the Los Angeles Rams defeated New Orleans 34–0 in Week 2, and Jacksonville beat Tampa Bay 19–0 in Week 3.
These were the only games in which one team prevented its opponent from scoring. The results came from three different weeks’ competitive contexts, showing that shutouts were spread across the schedule rather than concentrated in one opening round.
A shutout is recorded when a team allows zero points, regardless of whether the opponent generates yardage or reaches scoring range. Preseason shutouts can reflect defensive play, turnovers and field-position advantages, as well as differences in playing time.
