House M.D. had eight seasons during its original television run.
The medical drama began in 2004 and concluded in 2012. Its eight-season structure followed Gregory House and several changing teams of doctors as they tackled rare or puzzling cases at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital.
The final season aired after major changes to the cast and setting. Lisa Cuddy had left the story, and House's professional and personal relationships continued to evolve before the series finale, “Everybody Dies.”
People sometimes count only the seasons featuring House's original diagnostic team, but that would understate the show's complete run. The cast changed repeatedly, while House remained the central character in all eight seasons.
