Five quarter-dollar designs were authorized for the 2026 Semiquincentennial coinage.
The Circulating Collectible Coin Redesign Act of 2020 authorized special circulating designs connected with the 250th anniversary. The program included five quarters, along with special treatment for other denominations such as the dime, half dollar, and dollar.
The quarter program is separate from the American Women Quarters Program, although both were authorized by the same broad 2020 legislation. The Semiquincentennial designs were intended to recognize themes connected with American independence and the nation’s history.
Collectors may encounter additional silver, gold, or non-circulating products bearing anniversary dates. Those special issues do not change the answer: the authorized set of circulating Semiquincentennial quarter designs numbered five.
