“Parks and Recreation” received 14 Primetime Emmy nominations.
The nominations covered the series and several contributors across the show’s run from 2010 through 2015. The program was nominated twice for Outstanding Comedy Series, in 2011 and 2015, while Amy Poehler received six consecutive nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series from 2010 through 2015.
The show also earned nominations for writing and sound mixing. Poehler was recognized for writing “The Debate,” and Michael Schur was nominated for writing “Win, Lose, or Draw.” Sound teams were honored for episodes including “Andy and April’s Fancy Party,” “End of the World,” “Leslie and Ben,” and “One Last Ride.”
A common source of confusion is that some summaries count related Creative Arts or short-format web-program nominations differently. The official Television Academy program page gives the standard Primetime Emmy total as 14. Despite its broad critical acclaim and repeated nominations, the series did not win a Primetime Emmy.
