How many players are on a Salmon Run team?

The story behind the answer

A Salmon Run team has four players.

Salmon Run is Splatoon’s cooperative player-versus-environment mode, in which a squad works together against waves of Salmonids. Each player receives a weapon assignment and must defeat enemies, collect Golden Eggs, and deposit enough of them to meet the quota before time runs out.

The four-player structure makes teamwork essential. Players may need to revive teammates, protect egg carriers, manage limited ink, and respond to boss Salmonids appearing around the stage. A team can be formed with friends or filled out through matchmaking, but the active Salmon Run group remains capped at four.

The mode debuted in Splatoon 2 and returned in Splatoon 3 as Salmon Run: Next Wave. Although regular Turf War uses two teams of four against each other, Salmon Run is one cooperative team of four facing computer-controlled enemies. That distinction is the source of many player-count mix-ups.
