Candace Parker won two Olympic gold medals.
Parker earned her first Olympic gold medal with the United States women’s team at the 2008 Beijing Games. The United States defeated Australia 92–65 in the gold-medal game.
She won her second Olympic gold medal at the 2012 London Games. The United States defeated France 86–50 in that final, and Parker led the team in rebounds and blocks during the tournament.
Parker did not play at the 2016 Olympics, despite having been part of the United States’ earlier Olympic success. Her national-team résumé also included other international competitions, but her Olympic gold medals came in 2008 and 2012.
