Lola Young received five nominations at the 2026 Brit Awards.
She was one of the ceremony’s two most-nominated artists, level with Olivia Dean. Young’s nominations included British Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for “Messy,” Best Pop Act, and British Breakthrough Artist, among the five categories announced by the BRITs.
The nominations reflected Young’s rapid rise after “Messy” became a major international breakthrough. She ultimately won British Breakthrough Artist, her first Brit Award. That result is a common source of confusion: five refers to her nominations, while she won one award on the night.
The 2026 ceremony took place on 28 February at Manchester’s Co-op Live, the first Brit Awards staged outside London. Sam Fender followed Young and Dean with four nominations, making the pair’s joint lead particularly notable.
