The 2026 United States Semiquincentennial coin program includes five new quarter designs.
The special quarters were authorized as part of the circulating coin redesign program for the 250th anniversary of American independence. They are issued only during 2026 and form one part of a broader set of semiquincentennial coins.
The five quarter subjects are the Mayflower Compact, the American Revolutionary War, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, and the Gettysburg Address. Their themes span the colonial era, the founding period, the Civil War, and major American civic documents.
The quarter program is separate from the America the Beautiful and American Women Quarters programs. Those earlier programs also used multiple designs, which can make the number of 2026 semiquincentennial quarters easy to misremember.
