2026 Hall of Fame inductee Chamique Holdsclaw won three NCAA championships at Tennessee.
Holdsclaw was part of Tennessee’s championship teams in 1996, 1997, and 1998. The Lady Volunteers won those titles during a remarkable stretch under head coach Pat Summitt, and Holdsclaw became one of the program’s central stars.
She was named the NCAA tournament’s Most Outstanding Player in both 1997 and 1998. Her combination of scoring, rebounding, and versatility made her a dominant forward and helped Tennessee remain at the top of women’s college basketball.
Holdsclaw’s college honors extended beyond team success. She won the Naismith College Player of the Year award in 1998 and 1999, becoming a two-time recipient. Tennessee retired her number 23, and she finished her college career as one of the era’s most decorated players.
