How many Grammy Awards had Beyoncé won by the 2023 Grammys, the most of any artist?

By the 2023 Grammys, Beyoncé had won 32 Grammy Awards, the most of any artist. She reached this record when her album Renaissance and its songs added four victories at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.

The wins included Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for Renaissance, Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Plastic Off the Sofa,” Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “Break My Soul,” and Best R&B Song for “Cuff It.” Those awards took her career total past the previous record held by conductor Georg Solti.

Beyoncé had already been one of the Recording Academy’s most successful artists for years. Her Grammy wins span R&B, pop, rap collaborations, music videos, traditional performance, and dance-oriented recordings. This breadth helps explain why her total is often discussed separately from nominations or from awards won by Destiny’s Child.

The record concerns competitive Grammy wins, not every Grammy nomination or other honors. Beyoncé continued receiving nominations after 2023, but the total of 32 wins is the key milestone associated with that ceremony.
