Week 2 of the 2026 NFL preseason featured 16 games.
The week ran from Thursday, August 20 through Sunday, August 23. Each of the NFL's 32 teams played once, producing the standard 16-game weekly slate for a league with 32 clubs.
The schedule included nationally televised games such as Raiders at Texans, 49ers at Chargers, and Seahawks at Titans, along with the remaining regional and league-distributed contests. The week followed the Hall of Fame Game and Week 1.
The number can be confused with the full preseason total because the Hall of Fame Game adds an extra contest to the three numbered weeks. Week 2 itself still contained 16 games; it was not expanded because of the additional Hall of Fame matchup. The 2026 preseason therefore had 49 games overall.
