Three episodes premiered together when X-Men '97 season 2 launched.
The season debuted on Disney+ on July 1, 2026, with its first three episodes released as a single premiere event. Those episodes—“Days of Past Future,” “A Force to Be Reckoned With,” and “Rise of Apocalypse Part 1”—introduce the season's split-time premise and begin the storyline surrounding Apocalypse.
This launch pattern differs from the first season. X-Men '97 season 1 premiered with two episodes on March 20, 2024, then moved to a weekly release schedule. Season 2 instead used a three-episode opening batch before returning to weekly episodes, making the premiere unusually large for the series.
The number is easy to confuse with the season's total episode count or with season 1's two-episode launch. The three-episode figure refers only to how many season 2 episodes arrived on opening day. After that initial release, Disney+ continued the season with one episode at a time.
