C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia consists of seven completed novels.
Lewis wrote the seven Narnia books between 1949 and 1954. The series begins with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in publication order and concludes with The Last Battle, published in 1956. Together, the books describe the history of the world of Narnia across many generations.
The seven titles are The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, The Horse and His Boy, The Magician's Nephew, and The Last Battle. Modern editions often number them according to Narnian chronology rather than the order in which Lewis published them.
Readers sometimes remember six books because The Magician's Nephew explains Narnia's creation and is placed first in many sets, while The Last Battle brings the story to its conclusion. Both are part of the same seven-book series.
