The New Testament letter of Jude contains one chapter.
Jude is a short letter addressed to people who are called, loved, and kept by God. Its author identifies himself as Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James. The letter warns its readers about certain intruders and uses examples from Jewish tradition and Scripture to urge resistance to immoral teaching.
Because Jude has only one chapter, references are conventionally written with verse numbers alone, such as Jude 3 or Jude 24. It contains 25 verses in standard English Bible versification and ends with a well-known doxology praising God’s power to keep believers from falling.
Jude is sometimes confused with 2 Peter because the two letters share material and themes concerning false teachers. Jude is also distinct from the Gospel of John and the three letters traditionally associated with John.
