Kirby's Dream Land has five bosses in its normal progression. They are Whispy Woods, Lololo and Lalala, Kabula, Kracko, and King Dedede.
The count matches the game's five-level structure: each level awards one of Dream Land's stolen Sparkling Stars after its boss encounter. Whispy Woods guards Green Greens, while Lololo and Lalala appear in Castle Lololo. Kabula provides the game's shooting-style battle, and Kracko rules the skies of Bubbly Clouds.
The final confrontation is with King Dedede, who stole Dream Land's food and Sparkling Stars. A common counting mistake comes from the last level's boss rush, which repeats earlier bosses before Dedede. Those rematches do not add new bosses to the game's unique boss roster. The original Game Boy title also includes minibosses, but they are separate from the five principal level bosses.
