Answer
Boxing
Fight Night 2004 is a video game about boxing. Developed by NuFX and published by EA Sports, it puts players in the ring for bouts, training, career progression, and multiplayer competition.
The game was the first release in EA Sports’ Fight Night series, which followed the company’s earlier Knockout Kings boxing games. Its most notable feature was Total Punch Control, a system that used the analog sticks to determine the direction and motion of punches. Players could also use the controls for blocking, leaning, and defensive maneuvers.
Fight Night 2004 included both licensed professional fighters and fictional boxers. Its roster featured famous names such as Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Roy Jones Jr., Lennox Lewis, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Sugar Ray Robinson. Career mode let players develop a boxer, improve attributes through training, and work toward championship success.
The game launched in 2004 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It was followed by Fight Night Round 2 in 2005, beginning a sequence of increasingly advanced boxing titles that continued through Fight Night Champion in 2011.
