Enola Holmes 3 is a sequel to which 2022 film?

Enola Holmes 3 is a sequel to the 2022 film Enola Holmes 2.

The Netflix mystery series follows Enola Holmes, the younger sister of Sherlock Holmes, as she builds a detective career in Victorian-era England. Millie Bobby Brown returns as Enola, while Henry Cavill again plays Sherlock Holmes. The third film is directed by Philip Barantini rather than Harry Bradbeer, who directed the first two installments.

A common mix-up is confusing the sequel chain with the character’s literary origins. The movies are inspired by Nancy Springer’s The Enola Holmes Mysteries, but Enola is not an original character from Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories. The first film premiered in 2020, followed by Enola Holmes 2 on Netflix on November 4, 2022.

The third movie continues that screen series rather than being a sequel to Sherlock Holmes or The Irregulars. Its reported story is expected to be darker and more mature, while Brown remains both its star and a producer.
