Cracker's David Lowery fronted which 1980's alternative band?

Cracker’s David Lowery fronted the 1980s alternative band Camper Van Beethoven. He co-founded the group in Redlands, California, and became its lead vocalist and a principal songwriter.

Camper Van Beethoven formed in 1983 and developed an eccentric blend of alternative rock, punk, folk, country, ska and world-music influences. The band’s unusual arrangements and deliberately playful identity helped it stand out during the American college-rock era. Its best-known early song was “Take the Skinheads Bowling,” released on the 1985 album Telephone Free.[^1]
