Beyonce's 2011 hit "Party" features which founding member of OutKast?

The story behind the answer

Beyoncé’s 2011 hit “Party” features André 3000, a founding member of OutKast.

The song appeared on Beyoncé’s fourth studio album, 4, and was released as a single in 2011. André 3000 supplies the guest rap, giving the midtempo R&B track a distinctive contrast to Beyoncé’s vocals. His appearance was notable because he had become selective about guest features in the years before the collaboration.

“Party” was written and produced by several major figures, including Beyoncé, Kanye West, Jeff Bhasker, and André 3000. The song also samples “La Di Da Di,” the influential 1985 recording associated with Doug E. Fresh and MC Ricky D. A common mix-up comes from the official remix: J. Cole replaced André 3000’s verse on that version, and the remix was also used in the music video. The original album and single version, however, features André 3000.

André 3000 is one half of OutKast, the Atlanta hip-hop duo he formed with Big Boi in the early 1990s.
