Arsenal hosted Coventry City at Emirates Stadium during the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
The match was the season’s opening fixture, played on Friday 21 August 2026. Emirates Stadium is Arsenal’s home ground in Holloway, London, and has a listed capacity of 60,704 for the 2026–27 season.
Arsenal marked the occasion with a 3–0 victory over Coventry. The result began Arsenal’s defence of the Premier League title and gave Coventry a difficult first match after promotion.
Several London stadiums appeared during the same opening round. Chelsea later visited Fulham at Craven Cottage, Brentford hosted Tottenham Hotspur at Brentford Community Stadium, and Crystal Palace visited Everton. Emirates Stadium is therefore the answer for Arsenal’s home fixture, not the venue of another London club’s match.
