At which New York venue was the 2026 US Open tennis tournament held?

The story behind the answer

The 2026 US Open tennis tournament was held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

The complex is located in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in Queens, New York City. It has hosted the US Open since 1978, when the tournament moved from the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills.

The center is named for Billie Jean King, the American champion, equality advocate and former world No. 1. It contains several major courts, including Arthur Ashe Stadium, Louis Armstrong Stadium and the Grandstand. Arthur Ashe Stadium is the tournament’s main court and is named after the 1968 US Open champion.

The venue’s hard courts and large stadiums allow the event to host the singles and doubles draws simultaneously. Although the tournament is commonly associated with “Flushing Meadows,” the official venue name honors both the USTA and one of tennis’s most influential figures.
