At which course was the 2019 Open Championship held?

The story behind the answer

At which course was the 2019 Open Championship held? It was held at Royal Portrush Golf Club’s Dunluce Links in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.

The 2019 tournament was the 148th Open Championship and ran from 18 to 21 July. It was only the second time The Open had visited Royal Portrush; the first was in 1951, when Max Faulkner won.

Royal Portrush underwent major preparation before the event. The original 17th and 18th holes were replaced by two new holes, which became the seventh and eighth, while the course was lengthened and several greens, tees and bunkers were altered. The redesigned Dunluce Links played as a par 71.

Shane Lowry won the championship with a score of 269, fifteen under par. Muirfield, St Andrews and Royal Birkdale are also famous Open venues, but none hosted the 2019 edition.
