Swift performed “cardigan,” “august,” and “willow” at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on March 14, 2021. “cardigan” and “august” came from Folklore, while “willow” came from Evermore, its sister album released later in 2020.
The performance featured Swift with Folklore collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner. She began with “cardigan” on top of a cottage, moved inside for “august,” and then performed “willow” outside with the collaborators.
The medley linked Swift’s two introspective 2020 albums. It also marked the first time Swift, Antonoff, and Dessner performed together as a trio.
