The performance took place at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on March 14, 2021. Swift began with “Cardigan,” performed “august” inside a cottage set, and concluded with “Willow.”
The medley linked two albums. “Cardigan” and “august” came from Folklore, while “Willow” came from Evermore, Swift’s ninth studio album and a companion, or “sister,” album to Folklore.
Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner accompanied Swift during the performance. It was the first time the three performed together, making the appearance notable beyond the song sequence itself.
