Taylor Swift performed “willow” in a 2021 Grammy medley with “august” and “cardigan.”
The performance took place at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on March 14, 2021. Swift began with “cardigan,” continued with “august,” and finished with “willow,” creating a sequence that connected Folklore with its sister album, Evermore.
Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner accompanied Swift during the performance. It was the first time the three performed together, linking the principal collaborators behind much of the Folklore sound.
“cardigan” and “august” are both from Folklore, while “willow” comes from Evermore, released later in 2020. “Betty” is another part of Folklore’s fictional love-triangle narrative, but it was not the third song in this Grammy medley.
