Chalamet wore the unusual black Louis Vuitton harness over a dark shirt and trousers when he attended the 76th Golden Globe Awards. The garment combined tailoring with rows of sparkling embellishment, creating a look that sat between formal eveningwear and decorative body armor.
Abloh was the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear division from 2018 until his death in 2021. His work often challenged traditional ideas of red-carpet dressing by introducing sportswear references, sculptural details and unexpected accessories into formal clothing. Chalamet’s harness became one of the ceremony’s most recognizable fashion moments.
