“Cardigan” opened Taylor Swift’s 2021 Grammy medley containing “august.”
Swift performed the medley at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on March 14, 2021. The sequence began with “Cardigan,” continued with “august,” and ended with “Willow.”
The performance connected Folklore with Evermore: “Cardigan” and “august” came from Folklore, while “Willow” came from Evermore. Swift performed in and around a cottage-like set that matched the albums’ woodsy visual atmosphere.
Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner accompanied Swift. The appearance was notable because it brought the main Folklore producers together onstage for the first time.
