Assassin’s Creed Valhalla mainly takes place in which country?

The story behind the answer

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla mainly takes place in England.

The game follows Eivor, a Viking raider who leaves Norway and establishes a settlement in England during the ninth century. Much of the campaign is organized around alliances with different English kingdoms and territories, including Wessex, Mercia, East Anglia, and Northumbria.

Norway is an important early setting, and the game later visits additional regions, but England contains the largest portion of the open world and the main political storyline. Historical rulers such as Alfred the Great appear in the narrative, which also includes the Hidden Ones and the Order of the Ancients.

Valhalla was released in 2020. It is set centuries before the first Assassin’s Creed game and uses earlier names for the two secret organizations that eventually become the Assassins and Templars.
