As of 2024, the Spotify app was available in 74 languages. Spotify reached that total in May 2023, when it added 11 new languages and dialects to its mobile app.
The 74-language figure describes app localization—the languages used for menus, settings, navigation, and other interface elements. It does not mean that Spotify’s entire music catalog, lyrics, podcasts, or editorial descriptions are available in all 74 languages. Content availability depends on licensing, creator uploads, and regional rights.
Spotify’s language expansion happened in stages. The company said the total included 27 languages from its original rollout, 36 added in 2021, and 11 added in 2023. This is also different from market availability: Spotify operated in more than 180 markets, but the number of countries and the number of supported interface languages are separate measures.
