That estimate refers to LEGO elements manufactured across the company’s global production network. It works out to roughly 1,140 elements every second, illustrating the enormous scale of a toy system built around standardized plastic components. LEGO’s manufacturing operations have included facilities in Denmark, Hungary, Mexico, China and the United States, while decoration and packaging are handled at additional sites.

The figure is an average rather than a fixed annual quota.
