After Victor DeLorenzo left the Violent Femmes in 1993, he toured with Moe Tucker's Band. DeLorenzo was a founding member of the Milwaukee folk-punk group and helped define its stripped-down percussion style.

Moe Tucker was best known as the drummer of the Velvet Underground. Her later band connected DeLorenzo with former Velvet Underground guitarist Sterling Morrison, along with musicians including Sonny Vincent and John Sluggett. DeLorenzo contributed percussion and backing vocals to Tucker's work during this period.

This episode is easy to confuse with DeLorenzo's replacement in the Violent Femmes. Guy Hoffman joined the Femmes after DeLorenzo's departure, but Hoffman was not the band DeLorenzo toured with. DeLorenzo later returned to the Violent Femmes for a period before leaving again.
