After Season 8's volcano eruption, what did Tilted Towers become?
Answer
Neo Tilted
Answer
Neo Tilted
After Season 8's volcano eruption, Tilted Towers became Neo Tilted. The eruption followed Fortnite's Unvaulting event in May 2019, when the volcano sent debris across the island and destroyed or damaged several major locations.
Tilted Towers was one of Fortnite's most recognizable landing spots. Added in Season 2, it sat near the center of the island and contained abundant loot, making it a frequent destination for players seeking fast, dangerous early fights.
When Season 9 began later that month, futuristic technology powered by the Zero Point rebuilt the ruined location as Neo Tilted. Its architecture, transportation systems, and neon-filled skyline reflected Season 9's futuristic theme. Retail Row was rebuilt at the same time as Mega Mall.
Neo Tilted did not remain permanent. During Season X, it was replaced first by Tilted Town and later by Gotham City. This cycle of destruction and reconstruction became one of Fortnite's signature ways of changing its map while advancing its seasonal story.
