After Destiny Islands, which world does Sora first visit in Kingdom Hearts?

After Destiny Islands, Sora first visits Traverse Town in Kingdom Hearts. The world becomes his first major destination after the Heartless destroy his home, separating him from Riku and Kairi and sending him through a mysterious corridor of darkness.

Traverse Town is an original Kingdom Hearts setting formed from the remains of worlds destroyed by the Heartless. Sora arrives there alone, then meets Donald Duck and Goofy while searching for clues about his friends. The town serves as a safe hub where the trio learns about the Keyblade, the Heartless, and the worlds they must visit.

The sequence is easy to mix up because Wonderland is the first Disney-themed world Sora explores after leaving Traverse Town. Agrabah and Hollow Bastion appear later still. Traverse Town also returns repeatedly as a central location, which reinforces its role as the game’s first post–Destiny Islands world and an important gathering place for characters from lost worlds.
