According to Exodus 34, what annual festival marked the end of the grain harvest?

The story behind the answer

According to Exodus 34, the Feast of Harvest marked the end of the grain harvest.

The festival appears in the covenant instructions given after Moses returned from Mount Sinai. It is associated with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest and is also known elsewhere as the Feast of Weeks. In later Jewish tradition, the festival is called Shavuot.

Exodus distinguishes this agricultural festival from the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which follows Passover, and the Feast of Ingathering, which is connected with the end of the agricultural year. These festivals organized Israel’s worship around both historical memory and the farming calendar.

The Feast of Harvest should not be confused with the later Feast of Booths, also called the Feast of Ingathering. Both relate to harvests but occur at different points in the agricultural year.
