Born in Buin, Chile, in 1983, Bravo developed at Colo-Colo and made his senior international debut for Chile in 2004. He became the team’s long-serving goalkeeper and captain, earning recognition as one of the country’s most important modern footballers.

Bravo captained Chile to consecutive Copa América titles in 2015 and 2016. In both finals, Chile defeated Argentina in penalty shootouts; Bravo’s goalkeeping was central to the team’s success.
