Who wrote 'Brave New World'?

The story behind the answer

Who wrote “Brave New World”? Aldous Huxley wrote the novel.

Huxley was an English writer and philosopher, born in 1894 into a prominent intellectual family. He wrote Brave New World in 1931, and the novel was published in 1932. Its futuristic World State controls citizens through genetic engineering, conditioning, and engineered pleasure rather than relying mainly on overt violence.

The novel is often compared with George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, but the two dystopias work differently. Huxley imagined people being controlled by entertainment, consumption, and artificial happiness, while Orwell emphasized surveillance, fear, and political repression. Huxley later revisited his concerns in the nonfiction work Brave New World Revisited, published in 1958.
