Kylian Mbappé was the global cover athlete for EA Sports FIFA 22.

The Paris Saint-Germain and France forward appeared on the standard edition artwork for FIFA 22. This continued EA Sports’ practice of placing a prominent footballer on the main cover while offering special editions with additional in-game content.

Mbappé had already become one of football’s most recognizable young stars before FIFA 22 launched in October 2021. His speed, finishing and overall rating also made him a popular choice among players in FIFA’s Ultimate Team and other modes.
