Who was the Charlotte Bobcats first-ever head coach?

Bernie Bickerstaff was the first-ever head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats.

Charlotte hired Bickerstaff in 2003 to lead the expansion franchise, which began NBA play during the 2004–05 season. He also served as the team’s first general manager, giving him responsibility for both building the roster and coaching the new club. The Bobcats were created after the NBA returned to Charlotte following the Hornets’ relocation to New Orleans.
