Who was cinematographer on John Ford's The Long Voyage Home?

Gregg Toland was the cinematographer on John Ford’s The Long Voyage Home.

Toland photographed the 1940 film in striking black-and-white, using deep-focus compositions and dramatic lighting to make the ship’s cramped spaces feel both realistic and expressionistic. His visual approach helped give the sailors’ voyage a gloomy, almost dreamlike quality.
