Who voices Lightning McQueen in Pixar’s Cars film series?

Owen Wilson voices Lightning McQueen in Pixar’s Cars film series.

Wilson provides the voice of the red race car across Cars, Cars 2, and Cars 3. His performance gives Lightning a recognizable blend of confidence, impatience, humor, and later humility as the character matures.

The first Cars film places Lightning at the center of a story about competition and community. He starts as an ambitious rookie focused on winning the Piston Cup, but his forced stay in Radiator Springs changes his relationships and priorities.

Paul Newman, who voiced Doc Hudson, is a frequent source of confusion because his performance is central to the original film. Larry the Cable Guy voices Mater, while John Ratzenberger voices Mack, the truck who transports Lightning.
