Who voices Asami Sato in The Legend of Korra?

Seychelle Gabriel voices Asami Sato in The Legend of Korra. Asami is one of the series’ principal characters and the only non-bender among Korra’s closest friends and teammates.

Asami begins the story as the wealthy daughter of industrialist Hiroshi Sato. She is an accomplished driver, engineer, and martial artist, and she becomes closely involved with Future Industries, her family’s technology company. Her intelligence and technical skill allow her to remain a major force in the story even though she cannot bend an element.

Gabriel’s performance helped define Asami’s calm, poised, and determined personality. A common mix-up comes from the show’s voice cast: Janet Varney voices Korra, while David Faustino voices Mako and P. J. Byrne voices Bolin. Gabriel also played Princess Yue in the 2010 live-action film The Last Airbender, a separate role from her work as Asami.
