Who voiced Vincent Van Ghoul in The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo?

Vincent Price voiced Vincent Van Ghoul in The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo.

Price was a celebrated American actor especially associated with horror films, suspense stories, and distinctive theatrical narration. His participation gave the 1985 animated series an unusually recognizable connection to classic horror cinema.

Vincent Van Ghoul was written as a supernatural expert who guides Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, and Scrappy-Doo during their effort to capture thirteen escaped ghosts. The character’s name deliberately echoes the performer’s own name, making the casting especially memorable.

Vincent Price’s role is sometimes confused with other horror performers who appeared in animated productions. He did not voice a character in the original 1969 Scooby-Doo series; his major Scooby-Doo role came in this later supernatural spin-off.
