Who scored Paris Saint-Germain’s opening goal in the 2026 UEFA Super Cup?

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored Paris Saint-Germain’s opening goal in the 2026 UEFA Super Cup. He put Paris ahead against Aston Villa in the 20th minute.

Kvaratskhelia received the ball from Désiré Doué on the left, cut into the penalty area and finished with his right foot. His strike gave Paris an early advantage in the match at Salzburg.

The Georgian forward had already enjoyed a major 2025–26 European campaign. UEFA named him Champions League Player of the Season after he recorded ten goals and six assists in the competition. In the Super Cup, Doué later scored Paris’s second goal, while Aston Villa’s Brian Madjo equalised before half-time.
