Kate Winslet plays Ronal, the pregnant wife of Tonowari, in Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Ronal is a senior figure among the Metkayina, the reef-dwelling Na’vi clan introduced in Avatar: The Way of Water. Tonowari, played by Cliff Curtis, is the clan’s chief, making Ronal both his partner and an important leader within the community.

Winslet first joined the Avatar cast for The Way of Water. Her role became notable for the demanding underwater performance work required by James Cameron’s production, including extensive breath-hold training. Ronal’s family connection also links her to Tsireya and Aonung, Tonowari’s children.
