Who is the rookie race car rival named in Pixar's Cars 3?

Jackson Storm is the rookie race car rival introduced in Pixar's Cars 3.

Storm represents a new generation of racers built around advanced training, simulation, and modern technology. He is faster than many established competitors, including Lightning McQueen, and quickly becomes the dominant young challenger in the Piston Cup season.

His rise creates the central conflict of Cars 3. Lightning realizes that experience and determination may not be enough to compete with the newest high-performance racers. He therefore trains with Cruz Ramirez, first as a student and later as a mentor, while trying to understand how his career can continue.

Storm is voiced by Armie Hammer in the English version. The character's sleek black-and-blue design contrasts with Lightning's familiar red appearance. He is different from Chick Hicks, Lightning's main rival in the first Cars movie, and from Cal Weathers, a veteran racer connected to the Dinoco racing family.
