Who is the playable hero of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order?

Cal Kestis is the playable hero of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Cal begins the game as a former Jedi Padawan hiding on Bracca, where he works as a scrapper salvaging ships from the Clone Wars. After using the Force to save a co-worker, he exposes himself to the Empire and becomes the target of Imperial Inquisitors, the Jedi hunters created to pursue survivors of Order 66.

Rescued by former Jedi Knight Cere Junda and pilot Greez Dritus, Cal joins a mission to recover a Jedi Holocron containing a list of Force-sensitive children. Along the way, he reconnects with the Force, rebuilds his confidence, and confronts the trauma of losing his master, Jaro Tapal, during the Great Jedi Purge.

Cal is sometimes confused with Kanan Jarrus or Ezra Bridger, who are important Jedi-related characters from Star Wars Rebels, or Kyle Katarn, a protagonist from earlier Legends-era games. Cal is an original character for the modern Jedi game series, portrayed through voice and performance capture by Cameron Monaghan. He returns as the protagonist of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
