Who is the falcon-headed god of the sky?

The story behind the answer

The falcon-headed god of the sky is Horus.

Horus was one of ancient Egypt’s most important deities, associated with the sky, kingship, protection, healing, and sometimes the sun. Egyptians commonly portrayed him as a falcon or as a man with a falcon’s head. His imagery reflects the falcon’s powerful flight across the heavens.

In the best-known tradition, Horus was the son of Isis and Osiris. After Set murdered Osiris, Horus challenged him for the right to rule Egypt. Horus’s eventual victory established him as the divine model of the pharaoh, while a deceased king was associated with Osiris. The Eye of Horus became a major symbol of healing and protection.

Horus is sometimes confused with Ra because both were linked with the sun and sky. They were distinct gods, although Egyptian religion often combined them as Ra-Horakhty. Ancient texts also describe several forms of Horus, including Horus the Elder and Horus the Child, so his exact family relationships vary by tradition.
