Joe Carter hit the home run that beat the Philadelphia Phillies in the 1993 World Series. In Game 6 on October 23, 1993, Carter's three-run walk-off homer gave the Toronto Blue Jays an 8–6 victory and their second consecutive championship.
Toronto trailed 6–5 in the bottom of the ninth inning at SkyDome. After Rickey Henderson walked and Paul Molitor singled, Carter faced Philadelphia closer Mitch Williams with one out and a 2–2 count. Carter drove the pitch over the left-field wall, scoring Henderson and Molitor and ending the Series immediately.
The moment was only the second time a World Series ended with a home run, following Bill Mazeroski's 1960 winner for Pittsburgh. Carter's blast was the first Series-ending homer by a team that had been trailing in the bottom of the ninth. Blue Jays broadcaster Tom Cheek's famous call, "Touch 'em all, Joe!", helped make the play an enduring baseball memory.
